Who Can Audition?
Voltage Independent Percussion is open to performers ages 14–22. Competing in WGI Independent A class, we welcome all skill levels — from first-year marching students to seasoned veterans. What matters most is your commitment, coachability, and passion for the craft.

The Audition Process
Submit Your Interest
Fill out the interest form below. Tell us about your experience, your instrument, and why you want to be part of Voltage.
Audition Clinic
Attend our audition clinic where you'll learn material and be evaluated by our caption staff. All auditionees receive instruction regardless of placement.
Callback & Placement
Selected members will receive a callback. Final roster decisions are made by caption heads based on technique, attitude, and ensemble fit.
Welcome to Voltage
Accepted members receive their contract, tuition schedule, and rehearsal calendar. The journey begins.
Member Life
What to Expect
Rehearsal Schedule
Weekly rehearsals begin in the fall and intensify through the winter competitive season. Full attendance is expected.
Tuition & Fees
Member tuition is $1,000 per season, covering instruction, equipment, transportation, and competition fees. Payment plans and financial assistance are available.
Equipment
Voltage provides all large equipment. Members are responsible for personal sticks, mallets, and appropriate attire as specified by caption staff.
Parent Involvement
Family support is a cornerstone of Voltage. We encourage parents to volunteer, attend events, and stay engaged through our family portal.
